SCCM 2012 > SCCM 2012 R2
Hey guys,
We're currently running SCCM 2012 and we want to upgrade to SCCM 2012 R2. The upgrade path I understand is 2012 > SP1 > R2. The issue I've got is I can't get hold of the SCCM 2012 SP1 iso. It isn't no longer available through MSDN (we're a gold partner),
only SP2.
Any idea's / suggestions greatly welcome. Apologies if I've missed something obvious.
Kind regards.

Use SP2 to upgrade to SP2. Then use the small download file that can turn SP2 to R2SP1 (given that you've got an R2 license).

Thanks guys for your responses.
When I ran the prerequisite checker from the SP2 iso on my 2012 (5.0.7711.0) site server I received the following Error...
Configuration Manager has detected that one or more sites in the hierarchy are installed with a version of Configuration Manager that is not supported for upgrade.

The error above would suggest to me that i can't upgrade from 2012 to SP2. Or would this error also be generated if other prerequisites were not complete (as there are other errors generated)?
The other errors related to USMT, WDT and WINPE.
Thanks guys - really appreciated your assistance.

The error above would suggest to me that i can't upgrade from 2012 to SP2. The technet article upon the upgrade path suggests this is the case.

Or would this error also be generated if other prerequisites were not complete (as there are other errors generated)?

Hello Jason / Torsten,
I've come to upgrade SCCM today - I have SCCM 2012 with no service packs. I've installed all of the prerequisites. As per Jason's guide, I've used SC2012_SP2_Configmgr_SCEP as instructed, however this has failed indicating that the upgrade path
is not supported. :(
Any ideas?
Thank you to anyone that responds to this.

I am using SCCM 2012 RTM so I believe this might be the issue and I do indeed need to first update to SP1? If so, anyone have any idea where SP1 can be found?
Cheers chaps.

From what i know you need to upgrade to SP1 before moving to SP2 and to R2
download the SP1 trial here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/evaluate-system-center-2012-sp1
It will do the job for the upgrade run the ISO and select upgrade.
After that validate that everything is working fine maybe wait a few days and go to SP2.

Yes. It does require SP1 first. Thank you for your response.
